Trump Tells Obama He’s “Not Looking for Anything Serious” as Relationship Rumors Swirl
Amidst persistent rumors surrounding President Donald Trump and former President Barack Obama after their much-publicized January 10th phone call, Trump has clarified that he’s not interested in a full-on relationship. A source close to the president told us that he “doesn’t want to rush into anything right now.”
White House sources began reporting on the possibility of a relationship between Trump and Obama after the former president was seen leaving the White House early one morning, looking disheveled and wearing a 2024 Republican National Convention hoodie.
“Let’s just see how this whole thing goes,” the then president-elect told Obama. “I don’t want to rush into anything. Why don’t you just come by my place? We’ll put on an episode of The Apprentice and see how things develop.”
“That’s fine,” Obama reportedly replied, “that’s fine.” At 2:02 am on January 11th, Instagram records show that an account linked to Obama liked a post made by Trump in 2011, before quickly un-liking the post seconds later.
According to sources, Trump had been leaving Obama’s Snapchats on “Opened” for hours, and then responding finally with “U up?” at 1 am. In a statement to the press, Trump clarified, “Sorry for not texting lmao been really busy at work. Wyd rn?”
Update: Reports have circulated that Trump commented “Anora was 🔥🔥🔥” under Obama’s annual Favorite Movies list
