Dean Boyer’s Cover Band to Play Seals and Crofts’ “Summer Breeze” on Endless Loop in the MAB Beer Garden

Ahead of announcing this year’s Summer Breeze lineup, MAB has revealed that Dean Boyer’s Seals and Crofts cover band will be headlining the beer garden, exclusively playing their hit “Summer Breeze” on repeat throughout the day. Boyer has learned how to play the guitar just for the occasion and is very excited to show off his new skills.

According to Boyer’s assistants, the song has been stuck in his head for months and he has gradually transitioned to communicating solely by using lyrics from the piece, which reached No. 6 in the charts in 1972. Boyer’s office rightly believed that the only way to save face was to form a Seals and Crofts cover band around him, so as not to attract suspicion or criticism.

Boyer’s full immersion into the easy-breezy yet soulful tune has done wonders for his health. His doctor told the Dealer that Boyer’s blood pressure is the lowest it’s been in years. He will only take one break from his set: to come home from a hard day’s work, in the kitchen, food cookin’ and the plates for two.

If the audience tires of “Summer Breeze,” the band has prepared “Garden” by Dua Lipa as a back up, but Boyer doesn’t think they’ll need to use it. “Not a care in the world,” said Boyer, with a knowing smile.

Boyer said he is looking forward to smelling the jasmine in the garden. We here at the Dealer hope that he takes it in stride when he bends down to smell the contents of the garden and is confronted with the stench of coeds sweating beer, vodka, and buttered popcorn from the fair on the quad.
