Daylight Savings Can’t Save this Relationship

Hey, honey. What I have to say isn’t easy, but it’s important, and I honestly can’t live with it any longer. It breaks my heart to see us suffering so much, so one of us has to step up and make the tough decision. Please believe me when I told you that it was a decision that I never thought I would have to make.

I’m sorry, babe; we’re through. Daylight savings can’t save us this time.

I know what we’re you’re going to say, and it’s simply not true. Setting our clocks forward one hour may have worked in the past, but it can’t work now. We were kids the; we are far too old now to believe that adjusting our clocks is going to give our relationship the same kick in the pants that it used to. It’s just not realistic.

Please don’t think that I’m not miserable too. I’ll always cherish the memories of us pressing that “+1 hr” button on the old clock together, and the thought of us losing that magic is almost more than I can bear. But we have to be realistic. Daylight savings can’t save this relationship anymore.

On a different note, is that watchmaker friend of yours still single?
