After receiving the fourth email this quarter with the subject line “Sad News,” second year Michelle Kang wondered aloud how she might go about unsubscribing from that listhost. “It wasn’t a problem when I only got one email from them a quarter, but now that they’re really starting to spam the group with this I’m starting to get annoyed,” Kang told a friend.
Kang also expressed confusion about how she might have gotten on the list in the first place, saying “I don’t know what I was thinking signing up for a listhost like this, I don’t like sad news at all.” Kang admitted, however, that it was possible she unwittingly signed up at an RSO fair during her first year.
Resolved to address the problem immediately, Kang has decided to by reply-all to the latest sad news email asking to be removed from the listhost.
