
After Success Of First Novel, George Orwell Announces Publication Of “1984 2: This Time It’s Personal”

LONDON—Following the smashing success of 1984, British author George Orwell has announced that a sequel is already in the works.
“I was so absolutely stunned by the reception to 1984,” said Orwell in a statement made through his publicist, “My hope with this next novel is that it reaches an even larger audience. My goal with the sequel is write something EVERYONE will enjoy.”
Orwell’s publisher has provided a brief synopsis of the new book, which will be titled 1984 2: This Time It’s Personal. The text reportedly opens five years after the events of the first book, and follows Jorge Jorwell, karate master and secret revolutionary leader who’s also really hot and has a lot of sex. When Jorge meets the beautiful Julia while competing in the annual Oceania UFC cage match, sparks will fly…but is he ready for love?
Orwell has reportedly signed a first-look deal with HBO for a possible television adaption of the book. Several more entries in the series have been planned, including a prequel series about O’Brien’s childhood.
