Top Five Foods to Try… Er, Tables to Visit at the Study Abroad Fair

It is a universally acknowledged truth that a student who lived through their first Chicago winter wants an excuse to avoid a second. There are certainly other places to go instead—some even University-sanctioned! Here is my foolproof guide to programs to check out at the next Study Abroad Student Fair:

5. Beijing: Mandarin is the most-spoken language in the world, so it’d be pretty useful to learn. Also, they have some really tasty-looking sticky buns at their table.

4. London: I speak the language, and they have my favorite tea which, for some reason, the dining hall has not stocked for, like, three weeks.

3. Florence: I still need to do my Arts Core, and I have the space for a September Term. My only complaint is they’re being stingy with the gelato they’re serving.

2. Dakar: Africa feels like a really underrated study abroad destination—plus they’re serving yassa, a rice dish, and nobody else is giving out savory foods.

1. Oaxaca: Wait, they have churros at their table!? Okay, I know where I’m going next winter. Olvida las clases, ¡quiero comer postres hasta el invierno ha terminado!
