Too sweet. What\u2019s next? Tofu nuggets?\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The dining hall defended its choice, claiming the switch was made to promote \u201chealthier options and sustainability.\u201d However, students aren\u2019t buying it. \u201cIt\u2019s cultural appropriation, plain and simple,\u201d said one freshman, furiously googling if France even grows sweet potatoes. He later broke down into tears when learning french fries weren\u2019t even French to begin with, just Belgian, like the waffle.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The controversy escalated when a self-proclaimed fry activist group, <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Taters for Truth<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, launched a protest outside Bartlett Hall. \u201cThis isn\u2019t just about fries,\u201d declared their leader. \u201cThis is about integrity.
