The study, published last Wednesday, used over 300 \u201ccommunity testers.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The experiment was organized by Dr. Menlow, a UChicago biologist with a revoked medical license. Participants were promised Amazon gift cards and were asked to show up to the weird, crappy basement of his apartment complex.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Students reportedly ate at least 30 different issues of the publication and found that none possessed any nutritional value. Community testers reflected on their experience, saying variations of,\u00a0 \u201cThis is the worst I\u2019ve felt in my life, ever. Like, worse than when my childhood chihuahua died,\u201d or, \u201cOh God, I just ate so much paper.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In a conversation with the <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Dealer<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, the president of<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Bite Magazine<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> responded to the study with \u201cWait, what happened? Who is this guy?\u201d and \u201cObviously you\u2019re not supposed to eat the magazine.
