Chicago, IL- <\/span>Community<\/span><\/i> fans, rejoice! Universal Pictures has just announced plans to release a <\/span>Community <\/span><\/i>Documentary in early 2023. The President of Universal Pictures, Peter Cramer, said his team made plans to the put the movie in production after learning of the paintball incidents at the University of Chicago. \u201cOnce we learned that some random person was shooting people with paintballs at UChicago, we were like, \u2018Yes, this is a sign to finally make the movie!\u2019\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

For those unfamiliar with the connection between paintball and <\/span>Community,<\/span><\/i> some of the show\u2019s hallmark episodes dealt with totally gnarly and awesome paintball fights that ultimately left the show\u2019s setting, Greendale Community College, in shambles.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

While some fans are disappointed because none of the original cast will be participating, and that the \u201cmovie\u201d will be cut to a 10-minute short film, others are hopeful that this will lend itself to future <\/span>Community<\/span><\/i>-based films in the future. \u201cI cannot wait to see Blanketsburg and Pillow Town in real life!\u201d exclaimed one fan. Others asked about the possible movies under-covering the mystery of the camera used to shoot \u201cTroy and Abed in the Morning\u201d or the mystery of why study rooms look like middle school classrooms.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

For die-hard <\/span>Community<\/span><\/i> fans, however, this was long overdue. \u201cFor years, I\u2019ve been randomly breaking out into \u2018Six seasons and a movie\u2019 chants, and people just assumed I was crazy, but now they\u2019ll finally understand my obscure references,\u201d said self-proclaimed #1-fan, Buddy, who threatened to shoot me and my children with his water gun if I ever doubted his fandom.<\/span><\/p>\n

But why choose to film it at the University of Chicago? Cramer explained, \u201cWell, obviously the paintball people were the first reason. But the second reason is that UChicago has a rich history of just absorbing local communities, and so at the risk of giving too much away, let\u2019s just say that Greendale Community College might have a new parent organization, wink wink.\u201d Yes, he did say \u201cwink wink.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Experts speculate that the announcement will finally shut up all those annoying <\/span>Community <\/span><\/i>fans who claim that the show is \u201csoooooooo much better than <\/span>The Office, Parks and Recreation, <\/span><\/i>and <\/span>30 Rock<\/span><\/i>.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
