It\u0092’s dinnertime in the Powell household. Steven and Gwen Powell, and their children Anna, 17, and Sarah, 15, are seated around the dinner table. The family dog, Toby, is in the other room begging for scraps through Facebook Messenger.<\/p>\n

The most recent message reads, “\u0093chicken chicken chicken chicken plzzzzzz!!!!!!\u0094”<\/p>\n

\u0093”He learned how to use Facebook about a week ago,\u0094” says Steven Powell, a history teacher at a local high school. \u0093”Ever since then he\u0092’s been a nightmare.”<\/p>\n

Toby is a 2-year-old Bichon Fris\u00e9. Bichons are hypoallergenic, good with kids and other dogs, and, according to the Powell family, \u0093shouldn\u0092’t be allowed to use Facebook.\u0094<\/p>\n

“\u0093It\u0092’s pathetic,”\u0094 says Anna Powell. “\u0093Look at my newsfeed; it\u0092s all him. \u0091Like this if you hate fleas, ignore if you don\u0092’t care?\u0092 Please. He’\u0092s such a joke.\u0094”<\/p>\n

Ever since Toby, who also enjoys sniffing shoes and chewing on ladies undergarments in his leisure time, learned how to use Facebook, “he\u0092’s been \u0093totally addicted,\u0094” according to Sarah Powell. “\u0093He\u0092’s been messaging me nonstop. I\u0092’m like, are you always <\/em>online? Stop bothering me.\u0094”<\/p>\n

In recent days Toby has posted status updates remarking on the utility of laser pointers, including “thinks laser pointers are sooooooooo fun lol!!!\u0094”, the olfactory siren song of a freshly cooked meal, “\u0093omg!!! dinner smells sooooooo good! i think im gonna hafta steal it lol!!\u0094”, and nineties nostalgia, “LIKE THIS IF YOU REMEMBER THE 90s\u0094.”<\/p>\n

“\u0093He doesn\u0092t remember the 90s,”\u0094 says Gwen Powell. “\u0093Dogs don\u0092t have great memories. And he\u0092’s 2.\u0094”<\/p>\n

“I\u0092’m not going to like this picture, even though I do hate fleas, and the number of times he posts it isn\u0092t going to change that\u0094,” added Gwen.<\/p>\n
