The NBA recently approved a trade between the Portland Trailblazers and the Los Angeles Clippers in which the Trailblazers will give $2 million to the Clippers and the Clippers will give $3 million\ufeff\ufeff to the Trailblazers.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe\u2019re trying to strike a balance between remaining competitivein the Western conference the short term and maintaining flexibility for the future,\u201d said Clippers general manager Dave Wohl at a press conference announcing the trade. He added, \u201cHopefully, this move should free up cap space in preparation for the free agent crop of 2015.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cWe certainly paid a hefty price, but it was nothing compared to the potential players we could get with that $2 million,\u201d Clippers point guard Chris Paul told the Shady Dealer<\/i>. \u201cThat type of value is hard to find in today\u2019s NBA, and I\u2019m glad that we were able to get this deal done.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s not my job to comment on the management of the organization,\u201d remarked Trailblazers power forward LaMarcus Aldridge. \u201cI just go out there and play my best day in and day out.\u201d<\/p>\n
