By Coach Danny Barret Dec. 31, 2015 There\u2019s been a lot of college football playoff-related controversy since the concept was introduced last year. Most people are glad that the top four teams get a shot at the title instead of just the top two. Ohio State validated that last year by winning it all. But with five major conferences, there will always be great teams that are left out. I\u2019ve heard many propose an eight team solution, but even that would leave out legitimate contenders. No, the only way to create a college football playoff that truly determines the nation\u2019s best team is a 128 team, double elimination tournament that includes the University of Central Florida (go Knights!) Sure, some people might get butthurt about how this would \u201cdevalue the regular season\u201d and \u201churt ratings by squeezing 254+ games into a monthlong bowl season,\u201d but to that I say, are you sure you\u2019re not just afraid to get your asses kicked on national TV by UCF? \u201cBut Danny, how could you possibly justify putting the winless Knights in the title hunt? They\u2019ve been godawful all season!\u201d Well, first of all, please don\u2019t take the Lord\u2019s name in vain. And second of all, we\u2019re just overdue for a win, so bring on Clemson or Alabama or whatever team wants to be Knight food! Ultimately, I\u2019m just looking out for the FBS. The longer this farce of a playoff exists, the more embarrassment they incur. Everyone loves March Madness, but the one complaint that people have for it is, why are there only 68 teams? This is definitely the best of both worlds. So, to whomever makes the decisions on this, it is in everyone\u2019s best interest if the playoff is expanded to 128 teams. What\u2019s the worst that could happen?
