I was going through my old boxes of high school things the other day when I came across an old mixtape.<\/insert> , <\/delete>https:\/\/docs.google.com\/spreadsheets\/d\/1v2eMiNl1Tz2W6w0n-ha43XrxxsRrzWw_OiK_ola-s6w\/edit?usp=sharingR<\/delete><\/insert>Rachel, <\/insert>m<\/insert>M<\/delete><\/insert>m<\/delete>y high school girlfriend, Rachel, <\/delete>made it<\/insert> for me near the end of our relationship. The tape brought back emotions both fond and bitter.<\/insert>,<\/delete> so I wanted to take a moment and<\/delete>Here are my<\/insert> reflections<\/insert> on each song. <\/p>\n

Escape (\ufeff<\/insert>t<\/delete>T<\/insert>he Pi\u00f1<\/insert>n<\/delete>a Colada Song), Rupert Holmes<\/insert><\/b><\/p>\n

Rachel started the tape off with this song, because we lived the events narrated here<\/delete> exactly as chronicled by Rupert Holmes.<\/p>\n

hird Eye Blind’s<\/delete> “<\/insert>Semi-Charmed Life“<\/insert>, played backwards at \u00bd speed, Third Eye Blind<\/insert>.<\/delete><\/b><\/p>\n

Rachel was always trying to get me to listen to Third Eye Blind\u2019s seminal late 90\u2019s hit backwards and at \u00bd speed, so that I could hear the backmasked track which clearly says \u201cHey there it\u2019s me, Stephan Jenkins of Third Eye Blind. Have you ever thought about baking a big cake that says ‘<\/insert>\u201c<\/delete>for Stephan Jenkins of Third Eye Blind‘<\/insert>\u201d<\/delete> and leaving it on your porch during the full or waxing gibbous <\/insert>moon? The performance utilized a variety of costumes and voices and received generally positive notices in the trades.<\/p>\n
