Citing \u201cirreconcilable differences,\u201d Pro-Israel and Pro-Palestinian groups on campus<\/insert> have agreed to split the campus territory between each other.<\/p>\n

\tIn a rare joint statement, leaders of the two groups noted that recent events made it clear that they could no longer co-exist in certain campus spaces. Rebecca Katz of Jewish Voice for Peace noted that spaces like poster boards, quads, and Yik Yak had become breeding grounds for tension. <\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s become clear that the <\/insert>Israel-Palestine conflict <\/insert>has become such a dividing issue on campus that<\/insert>,<\/delete> we must divide the campus itself<\/insert>,<\/insert>.<\/delete>\u201d said Katz.<\/insert><\/p>\n

\tPresident Zimmer announced that the line will extend from the center of the Quad to the north and south edges of campus<\/insert>. Anything to the East will be for Pro-Israeli students, while buildings <\/insert>. <\/delete>Anything<\/delete> to the West will be <\/insert>for Pro-Palestinian students. There will also be two student governments to ensure that each side has full autonomy. <\/p>\n
