8 months. 40 books. 9 drafts. 30 meetings with my adviser<\/insert>sor<\/delete>. 9 all–<\/insert> <\/delete>nighters. 90 pages. And all I get are 143 likes on Facebook. Are you kidding????<\/delete> Oh,<\/insert> and one \u201cHaha.\u201d Gee thanks, Rebecca.<\/p>\n

\tHonestly, when <\/delete>I agreed to write this stupid thesis, it was really<\/delete> just for show. I wanted people to know that I am smart. I cho<\/delete>ose a fancy–<\/insert> <\/delete>ass title with words that I barely understan<\/insert><\/insert>oo<\/delete>d. You think \u201cThe Similitudes Between Disestablishment Copperhead Dixiecrats and Insectional Neoconservative RINOS for Teamsters in P<\/insert>p<\/delete>ost-Gingrich<\/insert>Hastert<\/delete> Congress\u201d mean anything? Of course not. Those are just some words I strung together to show that Political Science is a real subject.<\/p>\n

\tAnd it wasn\u2019t like I just took some random pic. I spent a really awkward hour on the quad posing and trying to achieve the following in that<\/insert>e<\/delete> photo: (<\/insert>1)<\/insert>.<\/delete> a<\/insert>A<\/delete> background that shows off UChicago\u2019s campus just <\/delete>to remind my friends<\/insert>people<\/delete> that I go to an elite university,<\/insert> (<\/insert>2)<\/insert>.<\/delete> l<\/insert>L<\/delete>ighting that doesn\u2019t show off the black circles around<\/insert>under<\/delete> my eyes and (<\/insert>3)<\/insert>.<\/delete> l<\/delete><\/insert>A<\/delete> fun pose that that makes it seem like I am a generally <\/insert>chill person who hardly cares about my thesis in the first place<\/insert>. If you looked<\/insert>ed<\/delete> closely at the photo, you would have gotten the message that I am a hard worker who\u2019s also quirky and laid back. It\u2019s all in the picture, dammit!<\/p>\n

\tYou know what? Screw you all. I saw how many likes people<\/insert>you<\/delete> gave that absurd PDA picture of Jenna and her boyfriend (350, including several \u201cloves\u201d) Jenna didn\u2019t even write a thesis! All she does is hang with her boyfriend. Well, I guess my thesis is like my boyfriend because all it does is rip my heart out and fuck me over repeatedly!
