As we all know, Martin Heidegger\u2019s monumental work Being and Time<\/i> delineates and\u00a0delimitates the trio of fruminous characteristics which are characteristic of his most original and\u00a0characteristic concept: Dasein.\u00a0<\/p>\n
While it is a given that we all understand the Dasein-Being, a brief summary will not be remiss at this critical juncture in the work.\u00a0Thanks entirely to Heidegger’s thought, we\u2019ve been fully\u00a0aware that Dasein is (1) \u201cin-the world,\u201d i.e. worldliness-as-such, (2) Being constantuated by\u00a0\u201cbeing-in- the-world,\u201d the phlegnomenological everydayness of Dasein, and (3) Being-in as such,\u00a0the ontic charisma a pastrami of Dasein\u2019s being. But only this month, Heidegger has released a new work in\u00a0which he details the breakthrough for which he had been searching all his life: the fourth (4th) characteristic of Dasein.\u00a0<\/p>\n
This was, as he put it, \u201cthe ability to kick-flip an absolutely radical ollie.\u201d<\/p>\n
It has long been known that Heidegger\u2019s time in the urban jungle influenced his philosophizing,\u00a0but it has only just begun to come to light exactly how serious that influence was.\u00a0As he writes, \u201cAt the halfpipe after school, we must interrogate both ontically and ontologically\u00a0the outward-ness of Dasein\u2019s nature, which is circumscribed by its ability to show Tod what\u2019s up\u00a0with a No-Comply 180 Nosegrind. Truly monstrous tricks and flips are within the purview of\u00a0Dasein, if it is willing to skin its knees on the Truth.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n
When asked for comment, leading philosopher Anthony Hawk said that Heidegger\u2019s discovery had\u00a0been common knowledge in the profession for years. \u201cIndeed,\u201d he told the Shady Dealer, \u201cfor\u00a0one of us to pull off a mongo Slob-Air is to demonstrate analytically that Being which is our\u00a0Being.\u201d<\/p>\n
